Looking for fun activities? The picnic season is here and is one of the best family activities! Wondering how to picnic for your family picnic, group games, picnic ideas or what picnic food to bring? Picnics are an easy way to bring your whole family together. Let’s face it, kids of all ages love a family picnic! Picnics are known for tasty food, classic desserts, and fun games. One of the best investments you can make with your kids is your time. Your kids want you to listen, talk, and share with them. Make time now to plan for many fun picnics with your family this year. Check out the following tips for a successful family picnic…
One of the first things you need to do is invest in a fun picnic basket. This basket does not have to be expensive, in fact; you can probably find a tattered picnic basket at a local thrift shop. A little sudsy water with a little elbow grease, will do wonders. A red/white checkeredcloth lining the basket will make your picnic basket very appealing to your kids. Very young children will even get excited when they see the picnic basket, with the red/white checkered cloth, roll out of the closet.
Your family picnic can be even more awesome when you invest in a special ball to accompany your family picnics. This ball should be sized appropriately for the ages of your kids and different in appearance from the other balls in your home. A nice sized ball is one that kids can play kickball or four square with. While you are out on your family picnic, invent your own games- your kids will think you are a cool parent! Again, kids of all ages will get excited when they see that special ball rolling out of the closet.
So, you are now going to have some of the most awesome family picnics, there is no looking back! Depending on the ages of your kids, that will probably determine whatfoods you will eat on your family picnics. If you have younger kids, peanut butter/jelly or cold meat sandwiches work best. If you have teens with you, this may be a good time to teach them how to grill. If you are bringing meat with you, make sure you have the proper storage for keeping your meat cool.
If Mother Nature does not agree with your plans, invest in a couple fun-filled family movies to show at home. Break out the picnic basket and watch a movie together as a family in your family room. Remember, break out that picnic basket with the red/white checkered cloth! One family friendly movie that we would highly recommend is Cars– Check out the preview here:
Most importantly talk, listen, and share with your kids. Your family picnic can be the most awesome on your block! Go ahead, get organized now and enjoy the upcoming season of family picnics!
