Movie quotations – there are so many! Toy Story has some of the best quotes from Disney movies. What are your favorite Toy Story funny movie quotes? Included are some of the best toy story quotes.
I think we can all agree that Disney Pixar’s Toy Story films have been epic…for lack of a better word. I can’t think of another saga that has been so tightly woven into my life. Not only is the storyline creative, but the adult wit and beautiful graphics make it a win for parents and kids alike.
When I was young, the first Toy Story came out. I remember having a Toy Story computer game that my sisters and I would sit and play for hours on end. It was one of those “press the space bar to jump” sort of games and it was something we all looked forward to playing. Toy Story was just one of those movies that we could watch over and over again and not get sick of it.
When I got older, got into college and met my future husband, we would watch Toy Story together sometimes on date night. It seemed that all of the funny parts had changed and the story was good all over again, but for different reasons as we understood the “adult” jokes.
By the time I got pregnant, the third Toy Story had come out. My husband and I went to see it in theaters with some friends. I will always remember laughing my head off at the silly parts, and thinking to myself how much I love these movies…that are actually for kids. 🙂
After my son was born and had grown to a toddler, one of his first words was “Buzz.” He could sit and watch any of the three movies without moving an inch by the time he was a year old. His next word was, (you guessed it), “Woody.”
Now my son is two and a half and I have anther son who is a little over a year old. Daily I find them fighting over the Woody figurine or the Buzz lightyear blanket. All of this history with a silly movie has made me realize the impact a movie can have on you and your family. If I were to choose any movie to play such a big role in my everyday life, I wouldn’t chose anything else but Toy Story. Thank you Pixar for making such a wonderful children’s classic that has, indeed, been loved for generations.
Some of my favorite lines from the movies:
TOY STORY 1:
Potato Head: Hey look! I’m Picasso!
Ham: Eeeeh…I don’t get it.
Potato Head: You uncultured swine!
(As Sid is getting ready to “operate” on a doll)
Buzz: I don’t believe that man’s ever been to medical school.
Potato Head: Son of a building block! It’s Woody!
TOY STORY 2:
Buzz: You killed my father!
Zurg: No Buzz, I AM your father!
Rex: How do you spell FBI?
Buzz: Don’t worry Woody. In a few hours you will be sitting around a campfire with Andy eating delicious hot shmoes.
Woody: They’re called Smores Buzz.
TOY STORY 3:
Jessie: This isn’t a family it’s a prison, you’re a liar and a bully and I’d rather rot in this than go back!
Barbie: Jessie’s right! Authority should derive from the consent of the governed, not from the threat of force!
Mrs. Potato Head: Who are you callin’ sweet potato? I have over 30 accessories and I deserve more respect!
Ham: Dibs on the corvette!
Jessie: Woody, we were wrong to leave Andy. I…I was wrong.
Potato Head: She’s right Woody. She was wrong.
And this is just to name a few. 🙂 I can probably quote every line of every movie. Have you guys heard those rumors about a Toy Story 4? Ahhhh! I am just hoping they are true.
Happy viewing, Ya’ll
